Giving at VMRC has a rich history. It began with a $1,000 donation from the estate of George B. Showalter, made with the vision of helping establish what would become VMRC. His son, M.C. Showalter, carried that vision forward, strengthening it as the community grew. Today, Showalter Donors, those who give $1,000 or more each year, form the foundation of the funds that support our Compassion Fund residents. Their generosity ensures that community members who have outlived their financial resource
